Hello! Beth here! Thank you Drake for the beautiful poem...you're spoiling me, you know! He does spoil me rotten. I'm going to be the biggest brat in history if he keeps this up. Now, for my own mini-update: I've been approved for CMSP (medical something or other), and as part of my app for General Assistance, I need to finish my first 5 job searches (today, darnit, today). My mommy's care package arrived yesterday, and the Drakester and I (oh he's gonna kill me for that one)are very appreciative. Thanks Mom! We slept well last night, and today are ready to conquer the world (or at least the job connection office).

I have to say that I am so blissfully happy with this man. He means the world to me, and I can only hope that I am showing him just how much I love him every day. I love you my Drake.

Well, the job search and homelessness goes on still, but we are still attempting to stem this... We have an outing this weekend with our friend Vor Duck to go meet up with our friends Argon and Psylocke, and go see Spiderman 2 with them... their treat.

Still head-over-heels for my beautiful fiancee Beth, and I think if this relationship can survive these times, it will survive ANYTHING. She's the light of my life and very wonderful to spend my days with... This goes out to you, babydoll.

To my beautiful Beth,
Looking at you, I catch my breath;
You're so beautiful and bright,
And keep me warm at night;
You converse with me in new ways,
And we can talk for days;
It still blows me away,
How much I love you every day;
And soon we'll find our feet,
And my, won't that be sweet;
A home, a place that's all ours,
Instead of living in our cars;
And all the modern stuff we need,
A better life for us indeed;
But best of all it is we two,
Sharing life all the way through.

I love you baby.

Drake, the "Human Lobster" here...

I believe she refers to the red tone of my skin after sitting all afternoon in my skivvies after doing laundry together yesterday. I'm roasted like a duck - no offense, Vor. lol. I also made my first batch of Split Pea soup yesterday... Pretty tasty, all things considered. Yes, street living is good but odd... and I think we both are tired, yet fascinated, by it.

Anyway, got lots to do yet and so I go, off to the brown beast... Later all.
Hello all! Beth here, just sitting at the library next to Drake and typing an update. It's Monday, and Drake and I are in the process of getting our crap together. We've washed our hair in the park under a spigot, changed into the clothes we washed yesterday under same, and been to the EDD office. Drake actually applied for jobs, while I took down info to apply later today. Then I went all RitalinMonkey and we had to get out of there before I started grooming everyone in there. We're waiting patiently for a care package from my momma, which should be here sometime before doomsday. I'm pleased to report we're still having a blast, even down to the 'wet clothing fight' in the park yesterday. Drake continues to hold on to his geekhood by whatever means necessary, even hooking up the computer at the park and trying frantically to entertain me. I have been introducing more Vonnegut into my guy's life, and what we've read to each other seems to be agreeing with him. Maybe someday I'll learn to type coherently.... Anyhow, I have an appointment not long from now, so I'm going to leave it up to Drake (aka The Human Lobster) to tell you the rest.

Love you my Drake!

Well things appear to be okay - working on Unemployment Insurance and trying to get some things going on in the work department.

Best to all.

Drake and Beth.

Hello all... just a quick update. Me and my wonderful fiancee Beth are surviving and doing okay but are currently living in our cars... we are trying to build a life, slow but steady, but are insanely happy together. I love her with all I am and I am so glad she is finally here...!

Love you babydoll!

Well here's yet another long-awaited update.

The woman of my dreams has finally come my way. I didn't blog anything about her because I was, frankly, too interested in talking to her on the phone to bother...lol!

Anyway, she's "Beth Steele" online now and she's In-freaking-credible! She's bright, funny, caring, sensitive, and so much more than I could have ever hoped for... And she's HERE. With me. In my arms.

Then my landlady decided that she didn't want another woman living in the house and decided to boot me... Can you say unfair? Not to mention idiotic?

And my girl yet stands by me even as we are now homeless. But things are so wonderful with us that they completely make up for everything else in our lives. For the first time since I can remember I am so completely, truly, intensely happy.

Anyway, I'm going to turn this over to my lovely Beth...

World, Beth... Beth, World.

Drake out.
-----------
Hi. Got here Thursday night, after an incredibly awful road trip.....but I won't gripe because it was *well* worth it. My dearest was exactly what I expected (and I've been told I'm picky), and the chemistry is great. The landlady thing blows, but, I have to admire a man that will stand up for that in the name of love. Needless to say, I've promised not to leave his side because that's exactly where I want (or need?) to be. Wish us luck as we try and pick up the pieces.

Thanks!
-Beth
